On April 28th 2005 the Bridgeton Covered Bridge had burned down. The local community had started a fund raiser to try and have the bridge rebuilt. Fund raising began and on January 12, 2006 a bridge raising ceremony was held. On August 28, 2006 the spans of the bridge were lifted onto the abutments. The completed bridge was dedicated on October 1, 2006. This bridge is located in Indiana about thirty-forty minutes from Terre Haute Indiana in which Indiana State University is located in.
I was with a group of friends driving around this girls home town area in which she brought us to this small town. The small town was dead and kind of creepy to be walking around in because nobody was there at all. I was not used to being in a town like that because where I am from which is the Mokena/Frankfort area it is completely packed with all sorts of people and places. The only thing that I really enjoyed about that place was that it would be a cool place to go and hang out with a group of friends for free. In my town anything you would want to do with friends it would require you to pay a ton of money which in my opinion is very annoying.
