After Innocence - Trailer

I have provided the trailer of the film After Innocence by Jessica Sanders. In this film it is very interesting to watch and understand how the Criminal Justice System handles certain types of situations that they come across. The Criminal Justice System shows us how careless they really on to actually help out people who are later found to be proven innocent. These seven men who were in this film were all proven innocent from as short as 6 1/2 years to as long as 22 years. Throughout the film it shows how one man had the DNA evidence proven to not be his for three years after he was convicted because his evidence was given to them too early, so they said they could not do anything for him. Half of these men would still be in prison if it was not for the group they found called the Innocence Project or from just someone else confessing to the crime. It is an understanding that a ton of people get accused of rape if they did not do it because whoever was the one being raped could give a false description because at that moment they were not fully paying attention to who their rapist was, that was not their focus. It is an upsetting situation that people have to go through, but it happens. Overall, I really enjoyed watching this film because I feel like it give whoever watched it a good insight on what really goes on in the Criminal Justice System.
